Urban & Rural Sniper is a two-day (16 hour) course designed for law enforcement and military personnel who wish to be taught about basic police and military sniping.
You will be taken step-by-step through the four pillars of sniping:
1) organization
2) field craft
3) marksmanship
4) tactics.
This course is for personnel assigned to patrol, maritime, special teams and DHS agents who wish to learn counter-sniper and officer safety tactics & techniques. This is a 100% hands-on course where you will learn by doing.
You will run through exercises and drills used by the world's top SWAT and counter-terrorist sniper teams. In addition, you'll learn how to deploy sniper teams for various crisis situations and how use all of this information for surveillance operations.
All you are required to bring is a rifle (scope or iron sights) and 100 rounds of ammunition (complete gear list sent upon registration). The training is a great lead-in to our ADVANCED SNIPER Course.
All HSS sniper Instructors are current military sniper instructors or former military snipers that are sworn law enforcement officers.
